Call for Papers / Conference Announcement

Poverty ConferenceAnnouncing a poverty law conference, “Poverty Law: Where Do We Go From Here?,” to be hosted by Berkeley Law on March 10-11, 2023. This conference will focus on the evolving nature of society’s concern for the poor, on changes to the nation’s antipoverty programs, and on the future of poverty law as a field. This conference is meant to be a gathering, similar to previous poverty law conferences, for all those whose work focuses on poverty, on disadvantaged populations, and on inequality. There are three main lines to the conference:

  • The Past and/or Future of Antipoverty Efforts and Programs
  • Teaching and Service
  • General Poverty Law (subject matter not limited in any way)

The proposal submission form can be found here, https://forms.gle/eBwY8tSH3eHG7ZHN8. The submission deadline is is Nov. 18, 2022. Please contact Ezra Rosser with any questions at erosser@wcl.american.edu. Please note: there is a $100 conference registration fee and presenters are responsible for their own travel expenses.
