New Articles on clinical legal education in California law schools

California Legal History, the Journal of the California Supreme Court Historical Society, has devoted its current issue to clinical and experiential programs in 12 California law schools, with articles written by clinical and other profs.  The issue is available online here: https://www.cschs.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/Legal-Hist.-v.-17-2022-.pdf

The volume is edited by the remarkable Selma Moidel Smith, who at 103 years old is at long last retiring from her editorship of the journal. Her introductory essay called “Legal History in the Making” reflects both on experiential learning and on some of the changes in the legal world during the nearly 80 (!) years since she became a licensed lawyer.
